Note: the Tensioner Post and Arm are included with all new ball winders. Only customers who bought a HDBW prior to 2009 will need the Post. The Arm was introduced in March 2010.

Ball Winder Tensioner $15.00  -
BW Tensioner 1-4: The Ball Winder tensioner is included on all new production Ball Winder units as of May 2008. However, for those units manufactured prior to that date, they can benefit from the addition of this add-on product. The Ball Winder Tensioner allows the user to vary the tension on the yarn immediately prior to going to the spindle. A must have add-on for all earlier units especially when using a Power Base.

(but the set above if you need all three parts).

Ergo Ball Handle $18.00  -

 Ball Handle 1-5: The Ergo Ball Handle was introduced in May 2008 and has been included on all production ball winders since that time. This handle is a dream to use. Although our original handle was a quantum leap in comfort for ball winder users who were used to turning small plastic handles, the new Ball Handle is even better. Although not a required update, if you have no plans to upgrade to a motorized unit, then at least upgrade your handle. Be sure to review the Info page to determine whether you need a 10mm or 3/8" handle prior to ordering.
All current production units already include this handle.

   

  Small Diameter Spindle $20.00  -

 Small Diameter Spindle 1-7: The Small Diameter Spindle for the Heavy Duty Ball Winder. It allows the user to make smaller balls with smaller center holes. The outside diameter of this un-tapered spindle is only 1.25" versus our larger spindle (which tapers from 2.0" to 1.625"). It replaces the standard spindle (see info page). This product is one that users would use if they were winding smaller amounts of yarn and wanted a more compact yarn ball.

Yarn Ball Cores 1-6: Yarn Ball Cores are a useful accessory for mounting your yarn onto after you have created a yarn ball. They help maintain the center hole on unruly yarns. They also provide a great way to store your yarns. Acid free paper. They measure 1.25" diameter x 5" long.
