During 2009, we started marketing our Needle & Hook Gauge to shops with customization services. Essentially, we take the entire middle section of our Gauge measuring 1" high by 2.5" wide and print our customers' logo and/or shop name and address information in this zone. It was a tremendous hit. Over 100 shops have taken advantage of this new service since 2009 and we expect many more will want their names on our gauge going forward. Many shops have since re-ordered. They love the gauge, especially with their name on the front! What shop owner wouldn't?!   Why is our gauge the perfect platform for your shop's name? Our gauge is one of the best needle gauges on the market  (we think it is THE best). It has 24 needle sizers, more than any other gauge. Each needle size is machined into the gauge with CNC (computerized numerical controlled) cutters which provides the most accurate method for cutting accurate holes. The printing of the legends and your artwork is done while the part is being machined. Therefore, the part looks like it was made just for your shop. Some other needle gauge manufacturers either print the shop's name on the back of the part or on the front but in a different process than was used to print the original legending and it just doesn't look as sharp or as professional as ours. Plus, our printing will not wear off. It includes both US and metric needle sizes, plus hook sizes and both inch and centimeter rulers. Its size fits into your hand properly and you can manipulate the needles into and out of the holes more easily than with other gauges. In addition to being a great tool, our Gauge is part of an integrated system of information cards - our Knit-Kards system. The gauge is the same size as our Knit-Kards and can be connected to the same key ring. This helps you market our Knit-Kards to your customers as well. Some other features of our gauge: It is accurate. We machine each hole into the plastic with a computerized cutting machine (CNC cutter). The others stamp theirs out of metal or mold them in plastic. Both methods are inferior when compared to CNC operations. Why do we use the more expensive method CNC? Because it is more accurate. Our gauge is made in the USA. Theirs are typically made in China, India, and Germany. Our gauge is legible. We use a special ink that prints crisply and will not wear off. Our unit will not break or bend. Production Dates

Once we receive the artwork from all of the shops participating, we have our design team at our supplier verify that the artwork is acceptable for the process and they will prepare a proof for the shop to approve. The shop will then confirm that the proof is acceptable. If changes are necessary, we handle them at that time.

Once all of the artwork has been approved, we start production which takes approximately 3+ weeks. All production is done in the USA.

All production is then delivered to NKK and we inspect the orders and pack them to the shop's requirements.

Bulk Pack

Most shops take their gauges in BULK pack which means that they come in stacks of 25 gauges each. There is no individual packing material when purchased this way. Since the gauges have a hang hole on them, they can be hung on a display. When you purchase them this way, you save money.

We also provide 2 other forms of packaging:

Poly bag and hang tag (generic hang tag that explains what the gauge is). The poly bag is a zip lock bag with hang hole.

Or just a poly bag for protection and display with no hang tag.
