satisfied with the speed of the slower unit.
Although cost and speed are important
decision factors, so are the features that are listed above. If in doubt and
if money is no object, select the NKK Power Base. If you do not like
membrane panels (like on your microwave), and would like a simple knob to
turn your speed up and down, then select the Lite series. Note: Knobs may be
easier for a wide variety of untrained customers to use.

No matter which Power
Base you select, however, none of them will accidentally break your yarn
when a snag occurs on the swift. That's correct!
Many people think that
the motor will just keep turning and if the yarn gets snagged up, it will
power through and snap the yarn.
Not so!
Our design allows
the belt to automatically slip on the pulley so if any resistance if
detected by the system, the belt will slip and the ball winder will stop
turning, thus saving your yarn. We have managed to create a critical balance
between motor power and belt & pulley design such that the system works just
the way you would want it to when it comes to avoiding the breaking of yarn.
